New Listing! 9129 Hampton Ridge Court

Tucked away in a private neighborhood at the corner of Taylorsville Road and Six Mile Lane, there’s a cozy retreat just waiting for a new owner.  Through the quiet side entry, you’ll be greeted with soaring ceilings in the open living room, kitchen, and dining area.  Wrapped in windows, the living room lives a bright and sunny life, just begging friends and family to sit, cozied up around the gas fireplace.  To the side, a sweet dining area is accessible just off of the kitchen, whose blue cabinets, new countertops and cool metal backsplash lend a farmhouse feel.  Laundry room and access to the  2-car garage are found here.  In the dining area, sliding glass doors open to a comfortable sunroom- a perfect spot for a reading nook or breakfast area.  At the front of the first floor, a nicely-sized bedroom holds two spacious closets and a large front window.  Also accessible here is a full bath.  Upstairs, a huge bedroom with vaulted ceiling and generously-sized walk-in closet overlooks the front through huge windows, and couples with a second smaller bedroom and recently renovated hall bath.  The entire second floor has served as the current owner’s master quarters since purchasing the property, and it’s easy to see why;  With plenty of windows and skylights to bring in the sun, such a large renovated bath, and the smaller bedroom on the second floor serving as a den, this elevated space is a quiet, comfortable retreat.  The rear yard is completely fenced, with covered patio, retractable awning, and storage shed. Furnace and AC are under a year old, meaning temperate comfort for the lucky new owners.

The community of Hampton Ridge boasts wide streets and quiet cul de sacs, while singular access to the neighborhood ensures privacy and no thru-traffic.  Conveniently located near the corner of Hurstbourne Parkway and Taylorsville Road, with quick access to the Gene Snyder and I-64, and walkability to some of the best locally-owned restaurants in the area, the location of this beauty can’t be beat.

Maybe it’s due to an overactive mind, a desire to feel like I’m influencing someone, or perhaps, it’s simply that I need to talk.

Wishing you the most beautiful Christmas. This yea Wishing you the most beautiful Christmas. This year hasn’t been the easiest on anyone, and the holidays may be difficult. I hope you find the light this season, and that even if Christmas Day is spent alone, I hope that the quiet and the snow, the light of the tree and the music on the radio provide a heart full of love.

Covid), I still wanted to throw some inspiration out there. This is my favorite Thanksgiving tablescape from 2017. This table is on the blog now! Cheers, y’all.

So hard to believe our gorgeous home is on the mar So hard to believe our gorgeous home is on the market... so many years here, and so many changes in our lives. This house has seen the loss of both our dogs, both my parents. We celebrated our engagement here, came home happy and silly after a Christmas elopement. Thanksgiving here has been full of Bourbon and friends and Trivial Pursuit. This has been my happy place for the better part of a decade.

Going to sleep tonight in hopes of the right buyer who will love these walls as much as we have 💕
