New Listing! 4312 Winchester Road, Saint Matthews

Happily situated off of Hubbards Lane, a lovely Saint Matthews Cape Cod awaits a new owner.  Through the original front door, one is met with gleaming, original hardwood floors, and a sharp, black subway tile fireplace.  A built-in bookcase is the perfect spot to prop up family photos and well-loved trinkets, while a wide, front, Northwest-facing window allows Louisville’s sunlight in throughout the late morning and afternoon.  Adjacent is the dining room, which opens to a huge, rear screened-in porch.  At two stories tall, and over 500 square feet, this breezy and open area has space for a dining area and lounge on the ground level- a great option for three-season dining in our warmer months.  Imagine hosting an outdoor Thanksgiving dinner in Kentucky’s mild November weather, or Derby season festivities in the shade with friends!  Back inside, the kitchen is tucked off of the dining room, with easy access to the partially finished basement, as well as to the home’s side door.  Also found on the main floor are two bedrooms, a hall closet, and a full bath with tub and shower combo.

Upstairs is the hidden gem of this home.  The entire second floor is the master suite, boasting a den with built-in bookshelves, a large master bath with soaking tub, and a small office space or dressing room adjacent to the bedroom.  Three closets, a small window nook (which is perfect for Fido’s bed), and access to the second floor of the screened-in porch make this spot an absolute dream for the lucky new homeowner.  The privacy and space here are a rare find in so many Cape Cod-style homes.

With replacement windows on the first floor, fresh paint throughout, recently refinished bathroom floor and kitchen backsplash and some new lighting, 4312 Winchester is a lovely, neutral abode ready to welcome it’s new owner with open arms.

Maybe it’s due to an overactive mind, a desire to feel like I’m influencing someone, or perhaps, it’s simply that I need to talk.

Wishing you the most beautiful Christmas. This yea Wishing you the most beautiful Christmas. This year hasn’t been the easiest on anyone, and the holidays may be difficult. I hope you find the light this season, and that even if Christmas Day is spent alone, I hope that the quiet and the snow, the light of the tree and the music on the radio provide a heart full of love.

Covid), I still wanted to throw some inspiration out there. This is my favorite Thanksgiving tablescape from 2017. This table is on the blog now! Cheers, y’all.

So hard to believe our gorgeous home is on the mar So hard to believe our gorgeous home is on the market... so many years here, and so many changes in our lives. This house has seen the loss of both our dogs, both my parents. We celebrated our engagement here, came home happy and silly after a Christmas elopement. Thanksgiving here has been full of Bourbon and friends and Trivial Pursuit. This has been my happy place for the better part of a decade.

Going to sleep tonight in hopes of the right buyer who will love these walls as much as we have 💕
