Well, hello!
For quite some time, I’ve been wanting to start a blog, to have an influence on someone, to share a recipe, to answer questions folks may have about etiquette, entertaining, decorating or gardening. I may have wanted to show off new shoes, brainstorm decorating our home or gloat about Kentucky Derby wins as well.
I suppose, in order for me to have any remote place in your heart, however, you need to know who I am. I’m a Realtor and a former tobacco farmer according to the IRS. According to my friends, I’m a pretty darn decent cook and a Derbyholic. According to my hubs, I’m an ice cream addict who spends too much time daydreaming about the next big project.
I’m also a homemaker in the most literal aspect of the word. Whether its dedicating all day to baking a cake for company or the influence of my Cancer zodiac causing me to make sure the new living room is decorated just so, I’m happiest lighting a fire, reading a book, mixing a cocktail, and being at home.
This blog, then, is full of my musings of the world around me, full of cooking endeavors, real estate adventures, quiet love of my farm and daily dreams of a beautiful life.
