My favorite holiday is almost upon us, and more than anything, Thanksgiving makes me think of the end of the year drawing to a close, because there’s really just one big swoop of a holiday season left before the year ends.

Setting the table today, all I can think of are friends that will be here tomorrow, friends that have already stopped in the door today, and ambition for the new year.

I’m hoping your holiday weekend is full of the same-folks that drop by with bottles of wine and giant hugs, and personal reflection on what has been and what is yet to come.

I just mentioned to someone that we are “only” nine months away from our annual trip to the desert… Until then, @assouline ‘s new Palm Springs book has found a happy home in our den, and in my eyesight.

Almost every year, B and I take the @palmspringsaerialtramway to the top of the mountain for some hiking, and this year, I found my new favorite views, by far.
