I’m not the biggest fan of having my photo taken, and I’ll fully admit that! However, since Oscar and Sid came into our lives, it seems like we’re a complete unit as a family again, and we need to document it!
I called my friend Morgan Babgy to pop by the house and snap a few shots of me, Bryan, and the doods, and she didn’t disappoint!
It’s hard for me to step out of my comfort zone, to look at a camera, to “act natural,” but a few of these shots just ended up being so darn cute that we may have ran to Pottery Barn, bought a frame, and sent them to my in-laws! We’ve replaced a few in frames around our own house, and it’s odd to me that the last time we had someone take portraits of us was on our wedding day almost two years ago.
We may have to make a habit of at least annual photos, if not a little more often, as each year, the hair changes, the waistlines may as well, and we don’t often have the opportunity to see ourselves in the light that someone else might. Through a few shutter clicks, however, we see how big the boys have gotten, and I spy how much I smile when B holds me close. That, my friends, is an image worth capturing.
