I just mentioned to someone that we are “only” nine months away from our annual trip to the desert… Until then, @assouline ‘s new Palm Springs book has found a happy home in our den, and in my eyesight.

Almost every year, B and I take the @palmspringsaerialtramway to the top of the mountain for some hiking, and this year, I found my new favorite views, by far.

Home for three days, and missing the pale, beautif

Home for three days, and missing the pale, beautiful sunrises over Lake Michigan. Every time we get home, we begin planning the moment we can go back. From now until then, I’ll be closing my eyes and remembering this view.

… and I’m 99% sure that when the day comes that we buy a place in Chicago, the colors in this photo will be the inspiration for any decor.
