Oh, Black Friday, you’re here again… Somewhere, deep down inside of me, nestled in with the exorbitant amount of butternut squash pie I ate yesterday (and the Bourbon I washed it down with), there’s the innate need to shop, to hand off gifts in pretty packaging with poofy bows, to stuff stockings full, and to- always- buy myself a little something, too.
Ranging from techy and work-focused to self-care, and just darn pretty, below, the items I have my eye on this year to gift, and to receive!
** I just bought the Heather Stone version of this sweater for myself, and love the patch pockets! Perfect for a day of snuggling in sweatpants, or layered with trousers for the office.
** My favorite hand cream now comes in a set along with the same scented hand wash, which is great for those of us who hate the smell of commercial-grade soaps in public restrooms.
** A candle that’s sitting in my office pretty much year round, this one has scents of bergamot and evergreen.
** One of my colleagues, Erik (who has requested that he be mentioned by name) has this cute, skinny coffee maker in his office for a cup of morning pick me up that’s stronger than what comes out of the communal office coffeepot. For a coordinating stocking stuffer, grab one of these refillable pods for your favorite bean snob.
** An item under the tree for the hubs are these super cozy slippers. Nothing says comfy, winter, end-of-day wind down like something fuzzy to keep your feet warm!
** I splurged a little a few years ago and bought myself this tiny keychain/card case and love it so much. It’s the perfect size for popping into any size purse, but is chic and sleek enough to carry on it’s own.
** For the consummate host or hostess with an early bedtime, these cheeky cocktail napkins would be a fabulous fit! They’d also work for your white elephant party.
** I keep going back to this fuzzy MacBook cover. So cute, and just silly and obnoxious enough, but in a neutral, teddy-bear color, it may pass for workday appropriate.
** I spotted these leather-bound photo albums a few weeks ago, and may grab a few to store all of the old photos that have been just sitting in may basement. So beautiful, and would look incredible as a set of a few on a bookcase.
** For those in your life who have everything already, a floral subscription from Louisville local Bloomed Roots would fill the void. Who wouldn’t want a fresh flower delivery every month?
** My partner recently upgraded from a satchel to a backpack like this one, and loves that everything from his laptop to cold weather accessories can fit inside, and still look chic for a commute to the office or to a client meeting.
** After a friend’s awful lost-luggage debacle, we’re investing in these airtags, making keeping track of things (keys, dogs, luggage, husbands who wander off in the grocery store…) easy.
** For your friends who have certain cities in their hearts at all times, these natural fiber city totes from Mark and Graham are adorable! Bet you can’t guess which is my favorite!
** The art lovers around you may have smaller pieces that need a teeny bit of a boost. This easel is glitzy and functional, and will- quite literally- elevate pieces up to 22″ high.
** Wood car air fresheners are less chemically and unsightly than most on the market. Drift offers a scent of the month, shipped to you on schedule for constantly fresh autos.
** Finally, for your skin-care obsessed guys and girls, any amount of a gift card to Clique Boutique will be a welcome one, whether spent on skincare or a self-pampering session.
